Guests attending this presentation will be introduced to the concept of self-actualization through community service. Utilizing the tenants discussed in his book, The Lost Art of Giving Back, Christopher Cathcart introduces participants to the many barriers that keep individuals from giving back and outlines simple, easy-to-grasp ways to overcome them. The audience is exposed to the idea that one’s own self-worth and sense of importance is directly connected his or her willingness to serve and commit themselves to a greater good. For young audiences in particular, this workshop underscores the important role giving back plays in one’s long-range career success and how it adds to and enhances both professional and personals brands.
